Chrome ore

Chrome ore — chromite — is the principal naturally occurring source of chromium. Most chromite is consumed in the production of ferrochrome. Smaller volumes are used directly in refractory products, foundry sands, and chromium chemicals.
Oaktron operates mines in Albania and South Africa and trades chrome ore of Albanian, Omani, and South African origin. Product is distributed to China, Europe, the United States, and Oman. Typical counterparties include ferroalloy producers and other industrial or trading buyers. Origin and destination for each lot are stated in the contract.
Cr2O3 content, silica, iron, chrome-to-iron ratio, sizing, and moisture are contract points, not website claims. We do not list grades or assays on this page.
